Bambs,

Nice call. Although I agree with you that CSCO will be less than 10 and INTC less than 15, probably that won't happen by next year. The bubbles were built with 10 plus years' effort, and it won't totally burst within 2 years. If your time frame is toward the end of 2005, I expect that you have a better chance of getting your prediction correct.

A great majority of the economic expansion of the 90s was built on the so-called unlimited stretch of consumer spending. We all know that there is a limit that you can stretch the band. When that breaks eventually, no one will be immune. And I think that DOW 5k is also possible, let alone 6.5k.

But at least, let's cheer for the new year. And hopefully, the recession will end at least "on paper" in the first Q of 2002. Will the recession truly end in 02? Not really. Even so, a greater recession is lurking somwhere in the darkness.
