Here are the complacency indexes today:

ST Naz CI: 84.235, 91.529
MT Naz CI: 84.235, 91.529
LT Naz CI: 97.123, 98.454

ST S&P CI: 92.904, 97.030
MT S&P CI: 92.904, 97.030
LT S&P CI: 97.484, 98.897

They would appear to indicate a reversal in trend, from overbought conditions (extreme complacency). That's the obvious interpretation at this point.

However, I have no idea what the new year will bring. Today's numbers could be very different at the close, and the CI's could reverse back up at any time.

To those of you who stubbornly insist on keeping track of time with the Gregorian calendar, I wish you a happy new year. Don't let the 10-day hiatus in the Gregorian calendar preoccupy you this evening. Lost time is lost time. We must look to the future.
