My comment regarding buying the dip is purely technical based. It seems that buying the dip right after disaster strikes is not a good idea in many cases. It seems that the market needs time to react to news, probably because big investors need time to get out of positions or because individuals buy the dip and soften the blow but later loose patience etc.
This is not confined to biotechs at all but true for most stocks - look at what happened to the energy sector.
I do break my rule to wait and see once in a while, when I think selling is overdone (as was the case with NRGN, where i bought back my full position) but in most cases, i wait for things to unfold for a few weeks.
