My feeling was that you would probably want to take it offline. But that is strictly up to you.. My questions have to do with how 'safe' you felt your job was...were you blindsided?....Do you feel adequately prepared as to saved living expenses ( rule of thumb is 6 months)...will you be looking for employment in the same sector, do you have expectations of similar pay scale, etc...

I am trying to get a handle on consumer psychology. The optimism and complacency I'm seeing doesn't seem to jive with the rising unemployment numbers. Of course I think normally human nature is to have a positive outlook but there's also the adage, "when your neighbor is unemployed it's a recession, when YOU are unemployed it's DEPRESSION...

If we start hearing lots of stories like we did in the early 90s about the "misery index", home foreclosures, etc...then I'm wondering what the next government "remedy" will be.
