carl, So....tonight we learn that Cyrix is once again losing money. Wow...what a complete and utter shock!!! How can this be....say it ain't so....! What, with all that Fuchi innovation??? How many times do the Cyrix supporters have to see this pattern before they learn? step 1) Play catchup using up all of your resources while losing money. Step 2) Introduce your latest chip while still losing money. Step 3) Stuff the channel with your latest product while telling everyone how great it is and how you are going to destroy mighty Intel. Tell everyone how things are really different this time. Make money for 1 quarter, maybe 2 if lucky. Step 4) Watch your product die in the channel as Intel cuts prices and continues to retain loyal customers due to brand recognition/awareness/marketing. Start losing money again. Setp 5) Go to step 1. Sound familiar?? Remember back in February, I tried to warn those on the Cyrix thread that this cycle was on track to repeat itself. Oh well.... FF
