The energy shortage has vanished, local gas can be had for under $1/gal. OPEC is cutting production.
The US has enough natural gas to last 1000 years, coal to last 500 years, oil in tar sands if it can be extracted
at a reasonable price.
The remaining Al Queda, lacking funds or support, is on the run, must find a new home in a country whose rulers know they will risk everything by letting them in.
