Russia’s Frigid Winter This is another example of data mining. A meaningless statistic is found in a huge mass of data. This cold winter does nothing to address the average temperature of Siberia, it does not mention whether the summer temperature was hotter or colder than normal, it also does not address whether the Siberian winter is being compressed into a shorter more violent season. In short, it's just a random bit of data that some computer operator though would fit the preconcived notion of whoever is financing the web site (Dow chemical or Scaife would be my guess). This is bad information passed off as science. TP
