Jim, I have discovered that to be the same type of phenomenum with me. The DR, of course discounts it because my readings are similar in all their offices(different Dr) . At hime, 20 points lower. I suggested it might be the freezing room temperature or maybe the pressure from driving in the wild traffic. Not so he says. Well, I'm beginning to believe they like BP problems because it means more money to them. Who set the standard numbers 140/90 anyway? Another thing. When the nurse takes BP it is always lower. She does this when I first come in. Her readings are close to mine at home. Something strange here.
