Chip, i'm not familiar with Bill Erman. there are some really great traders. one thing i have noticed even from traders that are system oriented, one of the skills that some traders have is the ability to be selective about the trades that they enter. A few traders have developed an approach which they make a very handsome return on a consistent basis, yet the fundamentals of the approach that they employ are pretty mediocre at best. So their real skill is in eliminating the trades that bite into the profit. i am not a good discretionary trader, so system trading on a mechanical level is the only approach that will work for me.
