Glenn: The people I talk to tell me that there is so much dark and underutilized fiber out there that it is not funny. It can't be lit because it does not pay. I worked with some software developers who hold patents on operating systems for managing fiber optic networks and they could not justify any new product development based on the low payoff of providing further capacity and enhanced capacity utilization in a deeply glutted market -- do you hear otherwise?
