Dan,"Add to that a cost that is almost twice the top of the line Athlon XP" You call it an award by someone that says the cost of the P4 is almost twice the top of the line Athlon XP” Did he say twice? Nothing like an unbiased opinion, right Dan? Typical AMDroid

Compaq 8000 Series –like equipped

Athlon XP -1900 $1495. 99
Pentium 4 2 -GHz $1744.99.

Per Pricewatch today:

Athlon XP 1900 $236
Pentium 4 2.0 GHz $393

What’s interesting is that the difference in price is apparently at least partially based on the difference in the price of the processor and based on today’s Pricewatch Intel gets $157 more for the P4 chip. In other words Dan Intel gets $157 more than AMD for each system sold. Intel makes money, Dan; AMD will have a loss this quarter.

You keep working the wrong side of the street.

Looks like it’s going to be a big day for Intel.

Keep trying Dan
