Dave,
Your TA and my TA are a bit different. You were going short PM's in early August, same time I was buying calls on PM stocks, which paid off handsomely.

Not that I always get it right or that you always get it wrong, TA in the gold/silver stocks is tuff because of market interventions or manipulations, and so is open to different interpretations. I now blend in a lot of sentiment and some FA with the TA. Plus political aspects.

My current read is that gold will break through $300 in 2002 and hold above that level for the first time since late 1997.

What the POG does short term is therefore not as important for me as what it will do sometime this year, a rather large change in my PM trading principles as compared to my PM trading habits over the last four or five years.

Just My Humble Opinion,

Roebear
