You may want to take that with the tiniest grain of salt. Very few firms deal with that kind of volume, let alone a single individual, even if they happened to be the ones in charge of outifitting a large corporation, but large corporations tend to buy large volumes over a period of time to spread out the costs; it's not all at once. I might believe it if it were the guy in charge of, say, Egghead.com and a number of other high volume PC online stores, but even they don't see volumes above 100K, let alone 600K. It sounds to me that the AMDroids are just believing what they want to believe, and throw logic out the window. I'm surprised you haven't questioned the reliability of this claim yourself.
