Morgan had some encouraging thoughts on Intel, indicating that it would be a buyer of the shares ahead of the company's earnings release in mid-January. Analyst Eric Chen said preliminary data points indicated that December PC sales were healthy at companies such as Dell (DELL: news, chart, profile) and Compaq (CPQ: news, chart, profile). In addition, J.P. Morgan believes that Intel's server business is likely to grow sequentially in the first quarter.
