If that is the case, then it will be fixed in a few speed grades. Remember, for every 100 value worth of their rating that they ascend, their core clock frequency only goes up 66.7MHz, so their advantage over the Northwood (if they have one) decreases with each step up, assuming no per-clock improvements.

Additionally, Northwood will soon be getting a 33% boost in memory and chipset speeds, which will increase per-clock performance. Have you considered that AMD might be taking this into account?
