SOX going to be up very big today. Did you know that, since 03 Jan 2000 the SOX has been up 7% or more in a day (on a close-to-close basis) no less than 32 times, and up 10% or more 11 times. How many 7%+ daily rallies do you think the SOX had from October 1998 to December 1999 (a time period over which the index went from 200 to 700). Would you believe NONE? Not a one! What the heck does that mean??? Edit: Maybe it means "boring is good" as Luc just said about gold? Is psycho-volatility bearish? Cheers
