If there was one world currency, call it the USD, the USD would not have been able to strengthen causing Argentina to become less competitive. Still world recession?

Could this not be answered by labor rate pegged to one world dollar?

It does raise the question how could Argentina have become more competitive?

i am not to sure just what cuased what here but from what i have read numerous people in Argentina used the US dollar for mortgage transactions as well as other business dealings the general populous was paid in pesos their wage scale is low. I tend to think some where currency dealings played a larger roll than competition did as it appears they had labor pricing ability. You can have internal defaults in business but transactions involving difference in currency can quadruple the problems when the currency falls to far.

It sure is something to think about how could the nation of prevented this.
