As far as I know there were no "considerable" ethnic cleansing incidents, there was one very regrettable rogue operation (Dir Yasin) , prior to the solidification of the armed forces under civilian authorities. No worse than the murder of the Hevron Jewry some 10 years before that. Certainly nothing like what we did with Indians in this country. You'd wish the general ethics of the Israeli soldier on all the armed forces in the world. Gee, we hurt more civilians in Afghanistan in the last three months than that unfortunate event. Zeev
