One thing the Word says is that Jesus is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle. Doesn't it say refined by fire? That would be the fire of the Holy Spirit. That certainly does not describe the church as I see it today!! What a mess. God's not finished with us yet. But......christians who are coasting and having fun (like me) will get right in a hurry when they start getting persecuted. There are terrible persecutions of Christians in other parts of the world but we have been spared here in the USA. I was thinking about the verse "A wise man wins souls" and that he who delivers a a sinner from the error of his ways will deliver his soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. So maybe because we are a Christian country that has sent the gospel to the whole world we are spared the worst of the persecution for now.

I've also noticed in history that the christian countries were the countries who rose to world dominance. Especially after the Word of God was freed from the Catholic Church in England and England rose to be the first world superpower. Technology and innovation followed the Gospel. And the USA, founded by the Christians who left England, has surpassed all others because of God's blessing. Godless communism rose this century and fell. Even China is tapping into the blessings of the USA to survive.

btw, we should stop buying things made in China.
