WinXP review:

Install was a piece of cake on the Laptop. Went fast and smooth.

It didnt like my network card. So I had to really fiddle with that to get it hooked up to my network. Finally got the mojo flowing there.

It also didn't like my printer (very odd!), but was finally able to convince it, that it didn't need a digital signature (?). I'm finding I don't like this singature logo junk. But I can live with it, as long as it doesn't backtalk me too much more.

There is quite a noticeable speed difference though. It seems to run quite a bit faster under XP Pro than Win2kPro.

I was also right that an Upgrade from Win2kPro is a stable move. The core files are pretty much the same. So no need to really do a Clean install if you already have 2k Pro.

I *really* hate these huge icons. Stupid. Get them out of my way. Luckily I found the classic reversion feature. Thank goodness.

So far, I'm mixed. I'm not convinced I needed the upgrade. But certainly haven't explored the entire thing yet. But, if you are a Win 98, Me, or less user, you definitely should consider it.
