*St. Jude Medical Inc., Little Canada, received pre-market approval from the U. S. Food and Drug Administration for the Atlas family of implantable cardioverter defibrillators. Full U.S. commercial release is scheduled for February.
*SAC Technologies Inc., Eden Prairie, doing business as BIO-key International, has formed an alliance with Jefferson Government Relations to market fingerprint-reading systems to governments.
*Lind Electronics, St. Louis Park, said its auto/air DC power adapter is now available directly through the Apple Store. The adapter allows owners of Apple laptops to use car and in-seat airline power sources.
*SSESCO Inc., St. Paul, has partnered with Want
SomeWeather.com, a division of Weather Eye Inc., to generate more than 5,000 graphics-intensive maps daily based on WantSomeWeather's proprietary Mesocast forecast model.
*LecTec Corp., Minnetonka, will lauch a drug-free aromatherapy patch for sinus and allergy conditions. The patch is applied directly under the nose.
*Datakey Inc., Burnsville, has received a $1 million order from a U.S. government agency for Datakey smart cards, card readers and CIP client software.
*The Hazelden Foundation, Center City, has acquired Springbrook Northwest, a residential treatment center in Newberg, Ore. Terms were not disclosed.
