" Gurnee Mills hopes to reel in an additional 4 million visitors next year by leasing space to a store that is the top tourist attraction in its homestate of Missouri.
"Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World',a Springfield ,MO.-based retailer of outdoor sporting gear,will open a 125,000-sq.ft.store on the malls east side late next spring.
"The store,the only one planned for Illinois,combines the outdoorsy atmospere of a Rainforest Cafe with the selection of large large specialty stores and the prices of Wal-Mart,executives said.THe store is expected to increase Gurnee Mills' annual visitor count of 16 million people by 25%,particularly since many of the 40 million catalogs Bass distibutes each year arrive in mailboxes in Illinois and Wisconsin.

At any rate,what great news!!4 million goofy fishermen like myself wholike to buy lures whose colors exist nowhere in nature except at tackle shops will be exposed to the Rainforest everyyear.4 million fishermen/sportsmen is much better for RAIN than 4 million power-shoppers!!!!
