>>CHICAGO, Jan 4 (Reuters) - RF Micro Devices Inc. (NasdaqNM:RFMD - news), which makes circuits for mobile telephones, still expects to meet its previously stated forecast for fiscal third-quarter results, the company's chief financial officer said on Friday.
The Greensboro, North Carolina-based company said a few times in the past couple months that it expected to earn 1 cent to 2 cents a share on revenues of $99 million to $103 million in the third quarter, and it was not changing that guidance, CFO Dean Priddy said.
``Our guidance has not changed,'' he told Reuters.
RF Micro -- which counts the world's two largest wireless phone makers, Nokia (NYSE:NOK - news) and Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT - news), its biggest customers -- is scheduled to announce third-quarter results Jan. 15.
Some analysts had wondered whether RF Micro would cut its forecast.
RF Micro's stock was off $1.66, or 7.29 percent, at $21.12 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq.<<
