Certification Insures Compatibility with AT&T's ACCUNET T1.5 and ACCUNET Spectrum of Digital Services (ASDS)
Osicom Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:FIBR) today announced that its ROUTERmate(TM)-T1 CSU/DSU's and ROUTERmate Plus-T1 integrated router and CSU products were tested for compatibility with AT&T's ACCUNET T1.5 and ACCUNET Spectrum of Digital Services (ASDS). These Osicom products were also found compatible to support AT&T's Extended Superframe Format (ESF). The test program is managed by AT&T's Developmental Relations Group (DRG) and was conducted by AT&T Lab personnel in their New York City Regional Test Center during February, 1997. AT&T is recognized as the leader in data networking and data communications services. ROUTERmate is a family of networking products that permit a practical and economical network of routers, CSU/DSUs (56K, T1, and Drop & Insert), ISDN Terminal Adapters, and other LAN/WAN devices under a single SNMP management platform.
About ROUTERmate-T1
ROUTERmate-T1 and ROUTERmate-D&I are low-cost SNMP-managed CSU/DSUs, ideal for leased line or Frame Relay router internetworking applications with WAN circuits running at full or fractional T1 rates. ROUTERmate-D&I also supports a DSX drop & insert port for PBX voice and other DSX data requirements. DSX trunk processing is supported and provides all the necessary signaling for busy-out channels when the T1 facility is out of service. VT100, Telnet, or SNMP management via SLIP are standard. All ROUTERmates provide SNMP management over public or private networks with complete Enterprise MIB and functionality using SETs, GETs and TRAPs. Diagnostic loopbacks, integral test pattern generators and statistics enable the operator to isolate network problems without external test equipment.
About ROUTERmate Plus-T1
ROUTERmate Plus-T1 is a remote access multi-protocol router with integral T1 CSU, designed for robust corporate internetworking. Features such as IP, IPX routing, plus bridging and frame relay are standard. Options for an integral out-of-band-management modem and DES encryption are also available. The ROUTERmate Plus incorporates a state-of-the-art design to deliver "premium-featured" technology integration resulting in simplified operator configuration, management, and training. Features that are not commonly found in traditional multi-unit solutions. ROUTERmate Plus is offered in various base models. Each model is designed with identical router functionality and tuned to match one of several primary wide area access interfaces. DDS and T1 models offer the same WAN Access features of the highly successful ROUTERmate SNMP managed CSU/DSUs. All ROUTERmate products can be used as a single stand-alone unit or in a rack mount configuration using the low-cost ROUTERmate MiniRack.
