Ken Wilber:

I am familiar with Ken Wilber's comments from his website.

Ken Wilber is a good author and talented spiritual commentator. Subsequent to writing that commentary he was invited to meet Adi Da. He declined, giving no particular reason. Presumably he has some vested interest in the continuation of his opinion.

Ken Wilber describes himself as a "pandit". His role is closer to that of "color commentator" combined with "theatre critic".

Virtually everything he says has been and can be factually refuted. As one example, Adi Da has met with MANY religious teachers, artists, photographers, theatre people etc--as well as devotees. This is entirely at variance with
Wilber's "isolationist" comments.

Great spiritual teachers have always been controversial
(and not necessarily widely appreciated in their time).
Some examples are Jesus, Sai Baba, Nityananda, Upasani
Maharaj and so on.

I have read most of Ken Wilber's books and enjoyed them.
But I think he is a significantly lower level spiritual
being than Adi Da, and ill-equipped to make value judgments.

My advice to anybody would be to check out what Adi Da has to say, and offers, if you are interested. If you find something there of value, fine. If not, look elsewhere.

Namaste!

Jim
