LONG TIME NO SEE - Anthony

Dang! It's been 2 1/2 years since my last post
on this thread, time flies when yer having fun.
I don't even think you remember me.. <hehe>

I log into Silicon Investor once a year for 5 mins,
I pretty much have abandoned online forums and just
sat down two years ago and learned to day trade,
but it's difficult when you have a regular job
during market hours <heh>.

I got tired of trading and burn't out so I stopped doing it
14 months ago, I just hold one stock now for the long
haul... Shortly afterward, the market fell apart, tech
stock wise. ouch.

Today I spend the day looking for information on
what happened to some of the famous people who
lurked this board, ranging from penny stock hypsters
to whomever rung a bell in my mind. Seems like all
these people are long gone.

I came to this forum in 1995-1996 and followed the
penny stock camp for curiosity/education. Today, 5-6 years
later, there is nothing left, no company, no hypsters, etc.

I found some articles today on T.J. <abreviation>, I was
curious to what happened to him. What an amazing
story - busted. What I find not so amazing is all
those penny stock failures, pretty much all of them are
toast today.

So, out of all the people in my PeopleMarks, you are the only one that is going strong so I'm curious on what
you have been doing for the past few years.

Anyways I wanted to know your opinion on one thing
if I may ask.

Day Trading vs. Investing

Which one is better from a risk point of view?

The reason I ask is this. So many co-workers and friends
have been severly punished by the tech stock colapse
in the past year, people losing their life savings
and even losing borrowed money. I look back and wonder
if they day traded vs. invested, would they be in a
better situation because their losses would only
be the loss of "one day's work" vs. months of a bear
market.

Wishing you the best of luck,

Joe
