Wire - July 1, 1997 Mountain View, CA Netscape Communications Corporation, the leader in open internet software, announced today that it has built a new JVM(Java Virtual Machine) for an upcoming Communicator point release. This JVM has been tested at 100x's the speed of the now notorious but still secret and unsubstantiated Microsoft JVM in an upcoming release of Internet Explorer. 'Our JVM can do anything they can do, but better.' said known Netscape proponent/evangelist and all round good guy James Ash. 'Besides, those guys can just 'bite me' for all I care. :) All product names contained in this press release are trademarks of their respective companies including that of Mr Ash's comment to the Microsoftee's on Silicon Investor.
