Dear Westi: That is a wonderful prayer list. I liked the fresh emphasis you are placing on your finances. The mammon or money represents the 'little or insignificant'. If we are not faithful over the 'little or insignificant' how can we ever be faithful over that which is important in His kingdom. Many a church goer quickly realizes that deacons and elders or vestrymen are successful businessmen in the community, or faithful tithers and givers. Who wants someone in charge that is in debt to credit cards, just had to declare bankruptcy and is materialistic to the point of selfishment.

Last year the Lord dealth with me on my investments. I found that I was spending too much time on following them. The solution for me was to give everything to Fidelity and have them manage everything for me for a measly 1% a year, IMO a great bargain.

This is a testimony but I had two accounts one in Vanguard and one in Fidelity. I wanted to transfer my Vanguard to Fidelity so I called them up @ Fidelity. The guy told me to go ahead and cash out my Vanguard account and place it all in a money market account, that it would be easier to transfer the one account instead of mulitple accounts. So I did, on a Thursday, so I got the Friday close on all my transfers. Well guess what happen on the next business day, the next day was Monday Sept 11th . The funds took a week to transfer and that week was a down week for the markets. The transfer finally took place on the Friday close again and the next day was a 6% up day for the markets.

I did not entirely escape the carnage but because 1/2 of my funds were divinely protected my accounts are now down only 15% having snapped back from a 37% loss. I think every reasonable investor would consider that blessed in respect of what has happened in the markets since Jan2000.....In Christ.gregor
