Re: Date of the Nativity The quoted scholarship seems reasonable but the best it seems to come up with is "6 or 7 BC" as the date. How do we get from there to the 11 August 6 BC date? Just as important, if this more precise date can be established "beyond doubt", why isn't it more widely accepted by Christians?
