Hi guys/gals,

Anybody have ever had this e-mail connection problem?

I have a Dell desktop running Windows ME hooked to Roadrunner. I use IE 5.5 and Outlook Express 5.5.

The e-mail connection problem occurs AFTER my computer has gone into stand-by mode and I re-activate the system. When I try to check email, I cant. It consistently times out. Of course, I can restart the system and all is fine. So, my suspicion is that I'm getting packet trash in some transmit buffer if such a thing exists.

Any ideas on how to fix this short of restarting everytime?

BTW, after re-activating I can bring up web pages but sometimes this requires a single click and then a refresh, but the email server will never connect.

Thanks,

Stephen
