Environmentalism is not a liberal issue. I know many political conservatives who have some extremist views on certain environmental issues.

Ted despised most liberal organizations. From his writings, I sensed that his concern was the use of genetics to forever alter the human landscape. (i.e., rather than resolve conditions that create misery, we bioengineer happy clones that tolerate misery). He felt, once this begins, it is irreversible, because all discontent will cease.

Though I don't 100% agree with his presuppositions, I can acknowledge that his concern was a valid one. His response - which he felt would save more lives than it cost - was wholly insane.

And nuts like this are free-lancers who blend philosophies according to whim. He is neither liberal or conservative. If anything, he is a true anarchist (not the type of pseudo-anarchist that took part in WTO demonstrations).
