Thanks for all the interesting info on this topic. BTW, in case you didn't know, there is a mutual fund which shorts the market; I think its called Rydex Ursa (or something like that).

A general theoretical question; why do all the experts and pundits I hear on CNBC and other places almost all agree that market timing is too difficult and, when attempted, generally lowers overall returns?
