I am very pleased to see that my call from October, 12, about a doubling of the share price until the Q4 CC has come true.

On October, 12, I had written:
Message 16496602

"I am looking for a doubling of the share price by year's end (well, let's say after the Q4 numbers in January). Mark my words, my call is $20+."

At that time the stock price was below $10 and there was still some scepticism on this thread.

It was the very first call I had ever made (SI EPS contests do not count here for they are just a game). I had hesitated quite a bit before making the call because you are taking some kind of "moral responsibility" with such a move. Others may be inclined to follow you and if your call turns out to be wrong others may suffer as well.

Nevertheless, I was convinced that the underlying strength of AMD, especially the clear performance superiority of the Athlon XP over the Pentium 4 and the arrival of high performing VIA KT266A motherboards will inevitably lead to a strong price correction. So I decided to declare openly what I was believing to happen.

I am very glad that all those who acted accordingly did make a fortune in less than three months ;-)
