To All, Music review. I bought three new CDs and am impressed with all. My favorite is Steely Dan's "Two Against Nature." Nobody else has this sort of jazzy, rock and pop blend. You can tell a Steely Dan song with the first few bars of music before anyone has sung a word. This is one of their best efforts. I would say best except that I sometimes reevaluate later. It is hard to compare new and exciting music to what used to be new and exciting but where you know the words and the hooks by heart. "Cousin Dupree" is my favorite song even if it is about making it with your cousin, something we don't do in my family. That would be an insult to your sister. <VBG> I don't even have a sister, so I won't get my lights punched out for that one.

Sade's Lovers Rock is her best. I know some of the older "hits" are great, but this album makes the use of her odd but enticing voice. It's hard to pick a best song on this one, as the album flows and it's the whole fajita (I don't eat enchilladas on my diet <g>) that counts.

Yes, Paul Simon is a money-making son of a gun and many hate him for that reason. But "You're the One" is a pretty darned good album. I still like the energy of the "Me and Julio" album that I think was self-titled. But this is great stuff, too, and he is too old to have so much energy now. In fact, my favorite song on the album is titled "Old." It had me rolling on the floor as it was so funny and to the point about those of us who are chronilogically challenged.
