A really weird obituary on Chester W. Nimitz, Jr. (Rear-Admiral)!
This from today's Boston Globe:
Chester W. Nimitz
Rear Admiral Chester W., age 86, and his wife, Joan Labern Nimitz, age
89, of Needham and Wellfleet, MA, and formerly of Boca Grande, FL, by
mutual consent on January 2, 2002 at their home in Needham. No
memorial service is planned and a private burial will take place in Wellfleet,
MA. Contributions to Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts,
1055 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.

This is the son of Number 6 (I think) of the "Century of Lions." What the hell do you make of this? How do two people die "by mutual consent"? The Globe has nothing more than this. I have searched the web and can find nothing else on this, which should be a fairly notable news story in its own right given the name and historical connection. Weird!
