Of the four you posted,
and having owned VW's, Nissans and Toyotas,

I would say go with the VW.

However, I have since become a firm Chevy fan. Both Mrs. Q and I are driving Chevy's with over 100k on them and no major problems ever.

Have you checked out the Chevy Malibu. For the same price as the base model of all four, you can probably get a beautiful 6 cyl, leather, loaded Chevy Malibu.

I love Chevy. Buying a Silverado truck this week.

Buy U.S.A.!! and all that stuff.

P.S. I just signed up for two months of Carfax. Service that checks VIN numbers of used vehicles for title problems and other things. Let me know if I can help you with this.
