Freeus, it's better to be a has-been than a never-was. Okay, you aren't a multimillionaire now, but wasn't it fun when you were? Or maybe like many others you had SWS [Sudden Wealth Syndrome] and couldn't cope with the change and what it meant and how you should live and what you should do and how to spend the wealth. SPS [Sudden Poverty Syndrome] is easier to cope with in a way because life becomes very focused and immediately challenging. No more the imponderable, abstract, 'What is life?' and looking for another level up Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Now it's back to the grind and making sure that food arrives on the table and enough money is available to buy a tank of petrol [or gas in the USA]. I'm still optimistic. The dot.bomb and tech.wreck was obviously going to happen way back in May 1999 and it was only a matter of when. Too many people had gone wacko, thinking the sky was the limit and valuation didn't matter. But cyberspace and the telecosmic developments have barely slowed. The froth has gone and the manic ideas have been dragged back to the reality of cash flow, earnings and investment. But the trend is as solid as ever. It is looming larger by the month. There's no hiding. It's not going away. Those who invest will profit from the developments. Provided of course that they pick the right companies. I sold enough QUALCOMM to pay off my Tonka Truck debts from my Globalstar disaster, but still have the rest. Mumble away, Mqurice
