Hello Mr. thecow,

I've been looking around for a thread where I could ask some slightly dumb questions. I've followed this one for about two weeks and this looks like an opportune time to interject because the major theme question regarding partitions and windows 2000 seems to have been solved.

Anyway here's what I would like to know:

Can a wireless router like a linksys work through thick concrete walls in a building?

And, is there any way to link a doorstopper like a 486-66, into a LAN or more precisely is there a limit to how far you can go back in computer technology and still be able to put in a NIC card?

Thanks in advance for any help.

regards, john
