All things considered, I stand by my belief that your "millions of innocent civilians" claim
is wildly exaggerated and not supported by the known facts.

Yu focussed more on the numbers than on his use of "innocent civilians" What is an innocent civilian? The industrial areas south of Tokyo, for example, were probably producing significant amounts of war materiel. Are civilians who are producing bombers, bombs, guns, and other munitions really "innocent" civilians? Also, I seem to recall that both Hiroshima and Nagasaki were heavily involved in war production. So you should perhaps ask Solon also to clarify, does he consider a civilian who is producing war planes, bombs, tanks, etc. during wartime an "innocent" civilian?
