In its latest propaganda salvo, U.S. airplanes have dropped leaflets in parts of Afghanistan (news - web sites) depicting a smooth-cheeked, Westernized bin Laden on one side of the leaflet and a picture of a dead al Qaeda operative on the other side with the text: "The murderer and coward has abandoned you." The revamp suggests that the indicted terrorist had abandoned his al Qaeda fighters and turned his back on the cause now that the battle appeared to be lost. >
