No! The terminology that you mention has been used so often that it is meaningless.
Agreed. I think conservatives are wanting of the following scene on Sesame Street.
Scene: Two small, ~5 year old children, tugging on a toy....and Big Bird walks up...
Big Bird: Jimmy...Johnny was the problem?
Jimmy: I had the toy first.
Johnny: No, I had the toy first, it's mine.
Jimmy: No, it's mine!
[continued tugging on the toy]
Big Bird: Boys, boys, that's no way to settle an argument. Tugging back and forth on the toy. There's plenty of toys around; you can take turns; you could even play with the toy together. But, that's not the point is it? It's who has the toy and can keep it. The better approach is to go get your parents guns and blow the sh!t out of each other. That settles it the American way.
Scene: Big Bird hits the road. Flying bullets everywhere. Bert and Ernie are innocent bystanders, shot to death. And Oscar pokes his head out of the garbage can screaming. "DEATH PENALTY!".
Charleton Heston is the special guest, and with Big Bird's hand on his shoulder Heston says The right to bear arms is what makes this country great.
Big Bird: Now remember boys and girls, clean your guns every day...and we'll see you tomorrow...bye, bye.
[Insert closing theme to Sesame Street]
END
In conservative land, we refer to this as exploring the centrist view.
