One day I discovered it had lost 35 minutes The growing problem of inaccurate clocks in computers stems from the System Management Interrupts. These are interrupts caused by access to certain addresses which cause the processor to switch to a background task such as USB, Power Management, or legacy sound. There has gotten to be so many of these interrupts that sometimes the processor will miss counting a "tick" from the clock timer. The problem really lies with the Bios and can sometimes be cured by a bios update. TP
