WHO: SSP Solutions, Inc. -- (Nasdaq:SSPX - news), provider of
solutions and services for strong authentication, secure
transactions and the protection, distribution and
monetization of digital content over the Internet and
networks.

WHAT: European interest in SSP Solutions' security technology is
growing significantly. The firm has been invited to
present advanced security technology including biometrics,
public key infrastructure and smart cards to attendees at
the Comdex Nordic Seminar and Expo.

The session entitled "Biometrics in IT" will discuss the
information technology (IT) sector's need for low-cost,
secure and user-friendly biometric solutions. The talk by
SSP will review and demonstrate how biometrics can be
combined with smart cards and public key infrastructure to
deliver stronger security and enable new business
processes -- bridging the gap between virtual business and
the real world by bringing the power of "cardholder
present" authentication to online business. This
represents a compelling and intuitive solution suitable
for mass deployment in commercial or enterprise markets.

Speakers at "Biometrics in IT" include Bill Holmes, vice
president of marketing for SSP Solutions, and L. Den
Hollander, IC group liaison manager for Sharp Laboratories
of Europe, developer of innovative IC solutions for smart
cards and other security markets. Aage Rask Anderson, vice
president of sales and marketing for Fingerprint Cards,
developer of biometric methods and embedded systems for
fingerprint authentication, will moderate the event.

CeBIT Germany, scheduled for March 2002, has also
confirmed a technical presentation on "Identity
Technology" from SSP.

WHEN: "Biometrics in IT" session takes place during Comdex
Nordic 2002 on Wednesday, January 23, 2002, 11:00 a.m. to
12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Room G2 at Comdex Nordic 2002 -- Swedish Exhibition &
Congress Centre, Goteborg, Sweden

WHY: Security technology and issues are more prominent than
ever before, and biometrics hold unique promise for
securing both physical and virtual business. Security in
turn streamlines existing operations and enables new
methods of conducting business, representing an expanding
technical market for IT professionals.
