You should be in a good position to evaluate ebay -- what do you think of its prospects?

I believe eBays prospect and future is excellent. There really are steep barriers to entry. Not because setting up an auction site is the costly or hosting fixed stores, simply the sellers like to sell where the most buyers are and the buyers like to buy where the most sellers are. eBay also comes out with little extras that provide them with more revenue from their customer base. They are a well run firm.

What do you think of ebay as an investment? What about valuation?

I do not own any shares. I am not a perma bear because I shorted other highly valued stocks. It just seems to me that all these positive prospects are already in the stock price. The market certainly can bid the shares much higher but one miss from perfection and it would seem there is a long way to fall. This would be too rich for me.
