Decisions made on our behalf that include bringing death to others...even one other person...should be weighed under the humblest of regret, not under confetti. Powerful prose, Jewel! We are a peace-loving nation, and I hope there are not many of us who would disagree with your sentiments. The many war veterans that I know, some of whom killed in war, virtually to a man believe that they acted in righteous cause, but will carry to the grave deep sorrow that it fell upon them to take the lives of others in the name of duty.
