Yes, just a slap on the wrist that's all they generally get. He basically pleaded poverty so they wouldn't have gotten much trying to go after him for a fine or disgorgment. Maybe he also said he couldn't afford an attorney to represent him, even though he is a securities attorney. I guess if you ever get sued by the SEC, go bankrupt and plead poverty. I'm sure he hid his funds offshore or something. Most of everything he has is in his wife's name as it is.
