I have noticed that people who believe in things happen to be a lot happier than, say, me, and I like to try all things that could potentially make me a better and/or happier person.

Do you consider atheism to be a belief?

Z, I think in a sense JC's position is a vote for denial. Religion and its belief in a god is a denial of what appears to be the reality. And maybe that's all it takes to be happier.

In fact, who is to say that denial isn't the better way to go all the way around? We are encouraged to face our problems and not be in denial but maybe that's why there is so much depression.
