Good morning, Christine. I wonder if you got me confused with Father Terrence. >>Alex, I don't believe that government is the solution to all problems. On the other hand, governments must take responsibility for helping solve issues like global warming, because they set policy. At the same time that too much government is bad, government has a legitimate function. I personally think it is disengenuous to think that private charities will be able to solve all the huge social problems that our government seems to be abandoning. Honestly I don't recall posting an anti-gov't, pro-private charity post. My post to you centered on a completely different subject. I realize I'm intruding; I just wanted for my own personal reasons to set that end of the record straight. I won't get started on elites, environment, role models etc, as in the words of Harry Callahan, "A man's gotto know his limitations". Mine are that I probably can't participate in informed discourse on these topics. You are invited but not obligated to answer me here or by e-mail. Alex
