AMD is down 5/8 at this time so not too bad compared to some. Even
INTC is down almost 4 and Micron is down to 20 from its high of 94.
INTC has been cut to "neutral" by Gruntal.

Someone was asking about memory prices awhile back--yesterday's Times
has an ad for Fry's: 8M 72-pin SIMM = $54.95. That's the cheapest
I've seen so far but it's probably going to get a lot cheaper yet.

AMD's earnings reports don't look too bad if you pull up the six-month summary: revenues were down almost 300 million but the
loss was only 9 million. That shouldn't pose too great a problem
if the tech arena improves a little. Most of the anlysts following
this stuff seem to think a turnaround for techs will come in the
September or December quarter.
