1/8/2002 9:54:54 AM Sonus surges on China network pact Sonus Networks (SONS) is surging 51 cents, or 9.4 percent, to $5.89. The company said it has been selected by China Netcom to provide communications network infrastructure for the development of country-wide voice-over-Internet-protocol services. China Netcom will start by installing Sonus systems in six cities, then "aggressively" expand the network throughout China over the next year.
